The Walt Disney Animation film Big Hero 6 raked in over $600 million worldwide, so it's an undeniable success. Because of this, fans eagerly await the sequel and look forward to what Baymax and his group of genius friends will be up to.

But Big Hero 6 directors Chris Williams and Don Hall admitted around three weeks ago that they are not yet working on a sequel. Despite their admission, it does not mean that Hiro Hamada, Baymax, and the rest won't be making their way back to the big screen.

The actress who voiced Honey Lemon, Genesis Rodriguez told Screen Rant that there are already "rumblings" with regards to the Big Hero 6 sequel. The actress thinks it's "really cool" to be part of an Oscar-winning project, and she would be excited to reprise her role as Honey Lemon.

"There's rumblings of something else happening. I mean yesterday I just saw that it's the third most grossing Disney animated feature, so this is huge for them. I doubt that they wouldn't want to do another one. It was a huge success," she said.

The actress said that Disney is currently doing Frozen so she does not see why Big Hero 6 will not get the same treatment.

Rodriguez added that since Big Hero 6 is a comic book, Disney has "so many" avenues to explore. "It's a Marvel franchise that Disney adapted. Just like comic books, you could make it a complete different story and the superheroes reunited to attack someone else. So it's a perfect little setup they got for a sequel if they wanted to," she said.

Big Hero 6 is a 2014 3D animated superhero action comedy and is the 54th film produced by the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. Aside from Rodriguez, the other actors and actresses who voiced characters in the film include Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, Daniel Henney, T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans Jr., Maya Rudolph, Alan Tudyk, and James Cromwell.

Director Hall earlier said that he wanted to create a completely unique robot in Baymax. "I wanted a robot that we had never seen before and something to be wholly original. That's a tough thing to do, we've got a lot of robots in pop culture," he said.

It has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and even received nominations for the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature, the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, and the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film.
