The upcoming episode of Castle will certainly delight the fans and followers of the character played by Seamus Dever, named Kevin Ryan, as his life takes on the center stage, according to Cartermatt.com.

Episode 18 of the show's seventh season, titled At Close Range, will shed some light on some of the more intricate details of Ryan's life outside the New York Police Department. Although it has never been a secret that the NYPD detective offers security detail to certain clients when he is not out tracking down bad guys, the other aspects of this side job have never been truly explored.

In the episode, Ryan's involvement in the current case handled by the NYPD will stem from the aforementioned job. As a security detail, he has been hired to afford protection and guarantee the safety and welfare of a politician, specifically a well known congressman, while the latter attends a charity event. Things get awry, however, when gun shots suddenly fill the air and people begin to panic as no one knew who the target of the attack was.

The said incident then prompts Ryan to pursue all possible angles in order to determine the identity of the culprits as well as to understand the reason for the attack. The episode, therefore, is speculated to focus on his efforts to trace the steps of the perpetrator before and after the shots were fired to gather a clear perspective and apprehend those liable.

At Close Range will feature guest stars Maya Stojan as Tory Ellis, Annie Little as Carolyn Decker, Ricardo Chavira as Alex Lopez, David Conrad as Frank Kelly, David Andrews as Carl Shelton, and Reiko Aylesworth as Mia Lopez. The episode is directed by Bill Roe, while the man behind the script is Jim Adler.

Prior to his involvement in the hit comedy and crime series, Dever had been linked to numerous television series throughout his career. These shows include Chelsea Lately, Drop Dead Diva, and General Hospital. Moreover, Dever had been featured in crime shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NCIS, CSI: Miami, Dark Blue, and Threshold. His appearances in successful series such as Mad Men, Ghost Whisperer, Army Wives, and Cold Case were commended as well.

The episode will be aired on March 23, 2015 on the ABC Television Network.
