The "Legend of Zelda" downloadable content (DLC) for Capcom's "Monster Hunter 4" ultimate arrived on March 7.

As the title suggests, the first DLC for the game allows gamers to equip their characters with costumes and other items from the "Legend of Zelda" universe, according to IGN.

The DLC, which was released for free, comes with various content updates. Some of those are four armor sets, one Palico weapon, two Palico armor sets, one guild card pose, two guild card backgrounds, nine guild card titles and one bonus Calico Red. 1,000 Caravan points will also be given to players for free through the update.

In addition, players can also dress up their characters as Link from the "Legend of Zelda" games.

Aside from these, the DLC comes with a new quest titled Clockwork Contraption, Arcade Sushi reported.

The update also includes original items conceptualized by actual gamers for Capcom's Weapon Design Contest.

As mentioned above, this is the first DLC for "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate." Capcom previously mentioned that it plans create more content updates for the game featuring crossover elements from other popular titles. These include "Devil May Cry," "Metroid," "Animal Crossing" and "Sonic the Hedgehog."

With these upcoming updates, gamers can dress up their characters based on those from the mentioned games.

Capcom noted that the future content updates may begin to arrive sometime next month.

"Monster Hunter 4" originally debuted in Japan on Sept. 14, 2013, as an exclusive game for Nintendo's handheld console, the 3DS. The game reached the North American and European market in February of this year and was re-titled as "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate."

The action role-playing game, which supports both single player and multi-player modes, lets players take on the role of a hunter who goes on a series of quests to defeat and capture various types of creatures.
