People are counting down the days until the live action movie Cinderella finally hits cinemas, but it seems the issue about Lily James' tiny waist that appear to have been digitally altered just won't die down.

Now, the actress has spoken to the L.A. Times and told the truth behind Cinderella's tiny waist. James denied that any CGI magic was used to make her small waist appear even smaller.

"I naturally have a really small waist," the actress explained. "The skirt's big and the corset pulls me in, and that's the point. That's the shape costume designer Sandy Powell created."

"I think it's a beautiful gown with a beautiful shape," she added. "I love the curves. I think it's very old and 40s, the way it goes in and out. It's what made me feel like I could be a princess."

James is furious with people who keep on drawing attention and asking about the corset and her body in general.  She said that the people who do so are very hypocritical and are only contradicting themselves the more they draw attention to it.

"I think all that stuff's so negative, and you've got to let it wash over your head," she said. "I'm so healthy. I've got hips and boobs and a bum and a small waist."

James did tell E! Online that she went on a liquid diet, not to make Cinderella's waist look tiny but to make her and other cast members feel more comfortable. She explained that her corset made it impossible for her to enjoy a proper meal, and the fact that they are constantly on the move on set made it difficult for James to untie it just to eat.

"So if you ate food it didn't really digest properly and I'd be burping all afternoon in Richard Madden's face, and it was just really sort of unpleasant. I'd have soup so that I could still eat but it wouldn't get stuck," she shared.

The Downton Abbey star even told E! Online that she does not want to send the wrong image to young girls, since she herself is not a fan of the super skinny look and wants to promote a healthy body image.

"For girls growing up sometimes I think they get the wrong idea for what women should look like," she said. "And I think it's so important to be healthy and confident and natural. And not put too much stress on trying to be thin-I don't get the thin, thin thing at all. I'm actually finding it really hard not to eat right now."
