Apple is finally launching its first smartwatch, the Apple Watch, in San Francisco, California. While the much-awaited launch will take place in April, the iPhone manufacturer has sent out invitations to an event for next Monday, March 9.
While everyone's attention is on MWC 2015 in Barcelona, Apple aficionados can't help thinking about Apple's new wearable.
The invite entitled "Spring Forward" had asked the tech press to attent the Apple Watch event, where more details on the smartwatch will be unveiled. Fans of Apple products cannot wait to get their hands on the company's new wearable, and learn more about its specs.
Many would agree that one of the best things about Apple Watch is its Apps. The smartwatch, although smaller than an iPhone, features 100,000 apps, a feat that other smartwatch manufacturers will find difficult to beat.
The new smartwatch will also work seamlessly with the latest iPhone models, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.
The Apple Watch watch, which will be officially launched on April, will come in six different designs: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Edition, and the Apple Watch Sport. Cupertino has made sure that the new wearble's size won't be a reason for consumers to turn their backs by offering the smartwatch in two sizes: big and small.
Apart from its specs, one thing that many tech fans are quite concerned with is the price. While the Apple Watch's price starts at $350, some fans have read prices that are not too consumer-friendly.
With news that a certain luxury Apple Watch costs $75,000, there is enough reason for many of us to get worried.
Luxury brands are also taking advantage of Apple's first wearable, one of which even has diamonds to boot.
Brikk, a couture and luxury product design company, has announced 30 luxury model lines late February. The company says that the new lines of luxury smartwatches "will afford unmatched opulence to an exclusive clientele worldwide," MacRumors reported.
The Lux Watches will come in 42mm and 38mm and will be available in 950 platinum, 18K pink gold, and 24K yellow gold, according to sources.
