Jihadi John's, also known as Jailer John, identity has been revealed. The ISIS militant who has been beheading prisoners was reported to be Londoner Mohammed Emwazi.
Emwazi, according to sources, was a Kuwaiti national who used to live in West London. He is now in his mid-20s. Emwazi was the one who killed James Foley (American journalist), David Haines (British aid worker), Abdul-Rahman Kassig (American aid worker), Steven Sotloff, and Alan Henning (British taxi driver).
"I can only hope that he will be caught. Ever since I found out that David has been murdered, I have been hoping that this man will be identified and eventually caught, but it's difficult to be reminded of it all again. We just started picking up the pieces and we started trying to have as normal a life as possible," Dragana Haines, David Haines's widow told the press.
She also added that Emwazi should be caught alive to prevent him for getting an "honorable death" for dying in action.
Emwazi has taunted leaders of Western countries prior to decapitating his victims.
According to an interview with one of his childhood friends, Jihadi John used to be a nice kid.
"Basically we were in the playground and Mohammed was running away from someone, I think he was just about to get into a fight. And as he was running another guy blocked his path. And he ran into a goal post and hit his head on a metal goal post and fell to the floor."
"This was year six, we didn't see him for six weeks. He was not the same ever since that brain injury. I am telling you one million per cent. He was not the same," Emwazi's childhood friend told sources.
According to him, Emwazi started acting weird after the incident. His mother then prohibited him from befriending Emwazi after he suddenly changed. When reports of Emwazi being a terrorist surfaced, his childhood friend's mother had cut ties with the former's family.
Emwazi, according to sources, was from a well to do family in West London. He was dubbed "Jihadi John" as the group were collectively known as "The Beatles."
