Social media site Twitter recently made an official announcement that it will bring forward a couple of significant changes to its home page as well as other major redesigns this year.
Vice President of Product Kevin Weil and Vice President of Engineering Alex Roetter explained that there will be important changes that they are planning to carry out this 2015. Crunching the numbers, Twitter’s earnings have already exceeded expectations. There has also been a 20 percent increase when it comes to active user growth.
Over the past weeks, Twitter already unveiled several new features that will be incorporated into the social media site, such as group messaging and native video services. Even tweet translation has already been made available for users all over the world.
“The amazing thing about DMs is the graph on Twitter,” Weil pointed out. “It’s the fact that on Twitter, you’re not just connected to your friends. You’re connected to the people, the causes, the brands, and the products that you care about.”
As such, group direct messaging will allow Twitter users to easily reach out to one another as well as initiate and respond to private conversations. Twitter caused such a huge buzz with regards to the next features that the public may get to see.
