The upcoming episode of Criminal Minds, titled Breath Play, appears to be another step taken by the show to gradually reveal further personal details in the life of seasoned FBI agent, Kate Callahan, played by Jennifer Love-Hewitt, according to Cartermatt.com.

According to the synopsis given for the show's seventeenth episode this season, the team will be going to Wisconsin in connection with the case involving a serial killer on the loose. As per usual practice, the BAU will strive to form a connection among every single victim of the said culprit and will try their best to close the case before another one dies in the hands of the said UnSub.

However, the secondary plot of the episode might interest fans more as it will be another attempt to take a closer look at the ever elusive life of Kate. In episode 17, fans and followers of the show will once again witness the dynamics of the relationship between the BAU agent and her beloved niece, Meg, played by actress Hailey Sole, as the former struggles to balance her professional responsibilities and the latter's impending full blown teenage rebellion.

Prior to this episode, tension has already been building up in Kate's home following an incident in the mall featured in the an earlier chapter, titled Scream. In the said previous episode, Meg and her friend, Markayla Davis, portrayed by Taylor Mosby, arranged to meet up with a guy in the mall. Although the two asked permission from Meg and her husband, Chris Callahan, played by Greg Grunberg, they were not entirely truthful about their true purpose for visiting the place.

As seen in the earlier portions of Scream, the two high school students began interacting with another student their age who depicted himself as a muscular teenager. When the said male sent the two girls a picture of him, he requested for a photo of duo in return. Although reluctant to join in the picture, Meg eventually consented to pose with Markayla. The three then agreed to meet face to face in the mall.

Although Chris permitted Meg to go, he decided to stay behind and spy on the girls to determine if the group date was a safe interaction. Upon seeing him, however, Meg and Markayla's male friend cancelled the meet up and pointed out that he felt strongly against hanging out with chaperoned teenagers. This sorely disappointed Med, which could be noted as the start of her rebellion.

At the later part of the episode, the male student the two girls were supposed to meet turned out to be an adult man. He was seen getting frustrated and throwing a rope he brought with him into the trash. Some fans speculate that the man might have been intending to abduct at least one of the girls.
