Fast and Furious actor Vin Diesel always plays a tough but lovable guy on screen, but his latest role for the movie The Last Witch Hunter is completely different, Cinema Blend shared.

The actor shared a photo of himself with a full-on beard on his Facebook page and wrote, "It is a rare thing, to have produced two movies with completely contrasting characters, that come out in the same year. Furious 7 on April 3rd. The Last Witch Hunter on October 23rd."

He added that exactly 15 years ago, two movies were released in the same day, with entirely different characters - Boiler Room and Pitch Black. Diesel hinted at more diverse roles in the future since he finished the post with, "Thanks for always believing in me... blessed, inspired... and I feel like I'm just getting started."

In The Last Witch Hunter, Diesel plays Kaulder, the world's last witch hunter. He is an immortal fighter who has dedicated his life into ridding the world of witches and enchantresses. He has worked for this cause for eons, but meets more trouble in the modern world of New York City. He faces his greatest challenge yet as covens of witches conspired to unleash a plague on humanity, and his only hope of stopping them is by teaming up with one of the magic wielders he has been fighting to get rid of.

"The role of Kaulder is like nothing I have ever done before," admitted Diesel.

The photo shared by Diesel has been raved about by fans, who have not yet seen an actual trailer for the film. Many believe it will be just like other witch movies in the past, such as Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and Seventh Son.

Other actors who will be in The Last Witch Hunter are Elijah Wood, Michael Caine, Rose Leslie, Rena Owen, Julie Engelbrecht, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Isaach De Bankole, and Lotte Verbeek.

It will be directed by The Crazies director Breck Eisner. And just like Diesel said, the supernatural action film is scheduled for release on October 23, just a few months after Diesel's other movie Furious 7's April release.

The filming of The Last Witch Hunter was actually delayed due to the death of Fast and the Furious actor Paul Walker, who is also the good friend of Diesel. His death pushed back filming for Furious 7, thus affecting Diesel's other movie. However, they wrapped up production last December 5.
