First, Frozen invaded the big screen, then its soundtrack "Let It Go" refused to let go of children's hearts. Now, Queen Elsa, Princess Elsa, and the rest of their friends will be singing their hearts out again for Frozen: The Broadway Musical.

Movie.com confirmed the news, although no show date has been set yet. Frozen screenwriter and co-director Jennifer Lee is set write the musical, while the husband-and-wife duo behind the hit song "Let It Go" Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez will create a whole bunch of new songs just for the musical.

In fact, Disney Theatrical Producer Thomas Schumacher and Alex Timbers (Rocky, Here Lies Love), the director of the Peter Pan prequel Peter and the Starcatcher for Disney Theatrical, have already met with Lee, Lopez, and Anderson-Lopez for work sessions to develop the musical.

"It will come as no surprise that the EGOT-winning Broadway veteran Robert Lopez and the Oscar and Grammy winning Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who wrote the indelible songs for the film, will be working on the show and that Oscar winner Jennifer Lee, co-director and screenwriter of the film, will be working on the book of the stage version," said Schumacher. "No other staffing or dates have been announced."

The cast who voiced Frozen's beloved characters - Kristina Bell for Anna, Idina Menzel for Elsa, Josh Gad for Olaf, and Jonathan Groff for Kristoff - will not be reuniting for the broadway musical either, especially since it will probably open sometime in 2017.

Fans are dying to find out if the musical will serve as a "bridge" for the Frozen film and its possible sequel, and if the musical will introduce the songs people will come to love from the sequel.

For now, Disney is working on a short film entitled Frozen Fever, which will debut alongside the live action movie Cinderella. Frozen Fever will be a treat for fans who are dying to find out what their beloved characters are up to.

Here, Queen Elsa is planning to throw a surprise birthday bash for Anna and seeks the help of her beau Kristoff. But Elsa is having problems controlling her frozen powers, which might ruin Anna's surprise. And of course, the fun-loving snowman Olaf is eager to celebrate Anna's birthday as well - too eager, in fact, that he's caught sneaking a bite of the cake even before the party starts!

It will also be directed by Chris Buck and written by Jennifer Lee. Fresh new songs will be provided by songwriters Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
