Nike will soon be rolling out their new shoes from the All-Star Collection, which is inspired by New York City's vibrant energy and fast-paced lifestyle.

The new collection, featuring the Kobe X, KD7, Kyrie 1, and LeBron 12 will draw inspiration from distinct elements of the city's five districts. The shoes are named after basketball's biggest stars, namely Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Lebron James.

The LeBron 12 will take cue from the Flatiron Building, a key landmark tucked in Fifth Avenue and Broadway. It boasts of clean, geometric lines and a playful sole.

The legendary City Hall Subway Station in 1904 inspired the Kyrie 1, a shoe with 360-degree dynamic traction, Zoom Air and lockdown fit. The look is traditional and clean, much like Irving's game - a mix of new-age speed and old-school flair.

The KOBE X is described as an expression of optimism and innovation, much like the 1964 New York World's Fair. The best inventions of Nike are culminated in that one future-forward shoe that has dynamic traction and hybrid cushioning.

The KD7, on the other hand, is based on no other than the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, which was completed way back in 1883. It is Durant's seventh signature with Nike, featuring his trademark hybrid of Hyperposite heel and responsive Zoom Air cushioning. Not only is the shoe light and fits well, but it is also known for its stability and flexibility.

Customers have the option to customize the shoes on the NikeiD website, and play around with graphics and colors.

The shoes will be launched starting February 12 to14.

Some people have deemed the Lebron 12 and the KD7 as "pretty similar." Weartesters.com said that for a difference of $50, you "get you more coverage with cushion and a much more durable upper."

The gymratreview.com noted that the KD7 has amazing flexibility and responsiveness, and he also raved about its cushioning.

"Overall, this may be my favorite cushioning setup of the year across all categories along with the XX8 SE. I loved the support and responsiveness especially, and it simply plays well in every aspect," he said.

Meanwhile, a style review of the Kyrie 1 said that the shoe looks better in person than on pictures.

"The Nike Kyrie 1 exceeded my expectations by far. I wasn't too eager to cop when checking out images online, but seeing Kyrie play in the sneaker live and then trying it on at the store, I felt really good about spending money on the shoe. This definitely wasn't an impulse buy," said theshoegame.com.
