In what is hailed as one of the most touching and memorable actions dedicated to a fan, Taylor Swift managed to not only brighten up someone's day but most probably that person's entire year, as reported by E!Online.
Rebekah Bortnicker, a self-confessed avid fan of Swift, received an unbelievable and definitely unexpected package from her idol on Monday. The package, notably labeled SwiftEx instead of FedEx, was even personally delivered by the singer's body guard.
It contained valuable items that made the astounded and virtually speechless fan burst into tears. An inventory of the objects found inside the package include a necklace, pictures, a painting and a wallet.
As posted in Bortnicker's Twitter page, the necklace she is now in possession of once belonged to Swift herself. This was confirmed by the note attached to the piece jewelry that read, "Beks-was mine, now yours."
In addition to this item, the ecstatic fan also received a hand painted picture made by the "Blank Space" singer herself. She was also given a new wallet, which contained the cash sent by Swift to her fan to help in paying for her tuition fee loans. This also came with a note that said, "'Rebekah, now you are $1989 closer to paying those student loans."
One of Bortnicker's most valued item from the package is Swift's personal letter to her, as follows:
"Hi you, I was thinking about you today, and how you have been there cheering me on in the most thoughtful and creative ways.
I love the video you made of me and my friends and your text posts always make me crack up or make me think.
I got out my paints for the first time in a while today and made you something I really really really really hope you like it. I'm not a good painter but I think you're so beautiful and positive, even though you're dealing with the stress life brings, so I wanted to make you something.
See you on tour buddy, sending you a hug! Taylor."
Although the surprised fan claimed to be speechless in the video recorded by her mother while opening the package, she still managed to write a lengthy response to her idol's generosity and kindness.
"Taylor, you are the most amazing person," Bortnicker wrote on Tumblr. "I can't believe you did this for me, I can't believe this is my life right now. Thank you, I could say it a million times and it wouldn't be enough. I love you," she added.
