Ordering the latest iPhones using Apple’s online store now enables immediate shipping of such handsets as both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are currently in stock.
The online store has already put forward all varieties of the said phones and customers no longer have to wait before these are shipped to them. For the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus, the online store offers all colors - gold, silver and space gray.
In terms of storage capacities, these devices are all available at 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. The phones are also ready to be shipped for major US mobile carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint.
While the SIM-free model requires waiting time, customers would only have to wait for one business day for such device to be shipped.
With Apple previously experiencing issues in generating adequate numbers of iPhone units, the sufficient supply of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units to meet a high demand somehow took a longer time to provide.
Last December, a survey of at least 80 Apple stores generated results that showed how only 56 per cent of iPhone 6 units have been available at the said time. On the other hand, supply for the iPhone 5S in December of 2013 had been sufficient.
Looking into specifics, the supply of the iPhone 5S units had been more trouble-free due to the fact that it was an upgrade from the iPhone 5, incorporating a couple of interesting features such as the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
In contrast, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus brought on newer components and features, including a significantly larger screen compared to their predecessors. Last December, Apple’s online store was found to have an average shipping duration of 3 to 5 business days for both phones with 16GB and 64GB capacities. For the 128GB version of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it took Apple 7 to 10 business days to ship.
The supply of the newest iPhones has already reached other countries via Apple’s online store; these include the U.K., Germany, France, Italy and Spain. Customers in Canada and Australia are still required to wait for one business day to have the phones shipped whereas customers in the Chinese market can expect their iPhones to be delivered within three to five business days.
Consumers in the United States who prefer to purchase and pick up their iPhone 6 at a local Apple retail store can also do so and can check its availability through the phone’s online product page.
