The royal couple has officially landed in New York. In the first visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the city, their three-day itinerary was jam-packed with various activities ranging from humanitarian visits to social calls.

One of the most highly anticipated activities lined up for Prince William is his meeting with United States President Barack Obama on the first day of their visit. Apart from this social call at Oval Office, the Duke is scheduled to attend a conference hosted by the International Corruption Hunters Alliance on Monday, where he will be delivering a speech against corruption that is prevalent in illegal wildlife trade.

The Duke of Cambridge will team up with Secretary Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea Clinton to attend the Conservation Reception, which was organized in cooperation with the Royal Foundation and the Clinton Foundation.

It appears, however, that Prince William will be attending these gatherings without the Duchess by his side as she also has numerous activities arranged for her visit in the Big Apple.

Catherine will be meeting with the First Lady of New York, Chirlane McCray, on her first day in the city. The ladies will then go to the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem, where the Duchess will be taking part in the gift-wrapping session set up for volunteers in the said organization. In addition, Catherine will be working with students at the center during their craft-making session.

While Prince William will be having lunch with Mr. William Hague and other wildlife advocates, Catherine will be enjoying a sumptuous meal at the residence of the British Consul General in New York. She will be spending her lunch time mingling with the members of the British Community in the city, who are also active members of the culture, sports, business, arts, and hospitality sectors.

The royal couple will be reunited on Monday night to watch a basketball game between the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge arrived in New York on-board British Airways Flight 177. Immediately after touch down, the royal couple was taken to the lavish hotel reportedly favored by Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana -- The Carlyle.
