"God of salvation and judgement! I await the coming of the Lord as I give you praise, for on that day you will bring upon complete judgment and annihilation for sin and forgive as you hear humble and honest confession.
Today’s passage teaches me that the great day of the Lord is near and fast approaching—a day of wrath, ordeals, and sufferings. This is the reason I should seek You, justice, and humbleness, for that day will be a day of darkness and gloom (Zeph 1:14-2:3). I pray, holding onto the still remaining chance to confess; would you have sympathy over all evil that pervades this world and may the Lord’s salvation and restoration dominate instead.
Today, I once again ask for your mercy with a sincere and earnest heart. May I walk towards salvation with truthful obedience. Lead me to approach the impending day of the Lord as a day of restoration, victory, and glory, not as a day of judgement and destruction. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."
