American singer Ciara and NFL quarterback Russell Wilson are practicing abstinence before marriage. Ciara confirmed the news with ‘Access Hollywood Live’ on July 16 after Wilson revealed it to pastor Miles McPherson on June 2015.
"If you can love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody. I ain't lie – I need y'all to pray for us because I know you have seen her on the screen now. If there's a 10, she's a 15. Pray for me, keep my mind clear, keep my heart clear,” said 26-year-old Wilson to the San Diego Rock Church pastor.
Ciara and Wilson are both Christians. They began dating in April 2015, after being introduced to each other by a mutual friend in Los Angeles, California. The couple confirmed that they were dating in June 2015, after they attended a White House Correspondents’ dinner together.
"It's until the deal is sealed! Absolutely. It was an organic thing for him and I think he was just being honest about where we are. I think both of us look at each other and we're like – whew, but we take it one day at a time and keep it going with each other, and I'm really enjoying every day that we're sharing,” said 29-year-old Ciara.
Ciara and Wilson were both in serious relationships with other people until 2014. Ciara was engaged to be married to rapper Future, until they called off the engagement in August 2014. She and Future have a son together. Wilson was married to Ashton Meem until they divorced in April 2014.
