With the hype surrounding JK Rowling's next book to big screen project, "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them," fans and followers of the world renowned author are more than excited to witness what is in store in the next film. However, it appears that one man remains resolute on yet another JK Rowling franchise - and that is director Chris Columbus.

Helming the first two films of the franchise, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," Columbus is definitely very well versed with the magical stories. Hence, it came as no surprise when the director expressed his desire to once again work with the actors in an effort to show the events following the fall of Voldemort and how the rest of the magical community moved on from the destruction.

"I would love to go back and do another one," Columbus shared, according to Entertainment Weekly. He added, "Not Fantastic Beasts as much, which I think is going to be amazing, but I would love to do another movie with those three characters - Harry, Hermione, and Ron." The director went on to express his interest in what could have happened after the monumental defeat of the Dark Lord as well as how the lives of everyone's favorite Hogwarts characters turned out. Columbus said, "I'm just fascinated about what happened to them after the end of the last movie, because then they cut to 18 years ahead." He went on to say, "There's 18 years there of great Harry Potter stories."

While this could be easily speculated among fans and followers of the franchise, it is apparent that the best and most credible version should come from the creator herself - JK Rowling. However, Columbus disclosed that he is hesitant to consult with the author as the latter has repeatedly rebuffed speculations regarding follow-up stories for the "Harry Potter" gang in the past.

"I don't have the courage to actually mention that to her [Rowling] because I have such respect for her," Columbus admitted in the Entertainment Weekly report. He added, "She should do what she wants to do, but I really would love to know what's in her head about those missing years."

Meanwhile, "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe recently made headlines when a video of him singing to Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady" alongside girlfriend Erin Drake went viral online, according to CNN. Without even the slightest hint of a possible "Harry Potter" reunion, fans can simply enjoy the clip of their favorite star rapping to one of his idol's greatest hits. Enjoy the clip below.
