Sony is offering huge discounts on fighting-themed games as part of its Knockout Sale.

Aside from video games, the bargain also applies to similarly themed movies.

The company announced the sale through the PlayStation Blog and is scheduled to end on Monday, July 20. The items, which can be purchased through the PlayStation Store are being offered up to 60 percent off. Subscribers of PlayStation Plus, on the other hand, can enjoy up to 75 percent discounts.

The list of games included in the sale can be enjoyed on Sony various consoles including the PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Many of the games featured in the Knockout Sale are those that pit gamers in a hand-to-hand combat match against other players or computer-based opponents.

Some of these include "Guilty Gear Xrd - SIGN-," "Towerfall Ascension," "Soul Calibur V," "Tekken Tag Tournament 2" and "Darkstalkers Resurrection."

The other premium games offered in the sale include "Mortal Kombat X," which only came out in April of this year for next-gen consoles. For the Knockout Sale, Sony slashed the game's price from $59.99 to $44.99.

The Premium Edition of "Mortal Kombat X" can also be purchased at a discounted price of $67.49.

"WWE 2K15," on the other hand, dropped from $59.99 to 35.99. But PlayStation Plus subscribers can get it at a cheaper price of $23.99.

The lineup also includes various "Street Fighter" games such as "Street Fighter Alpha," "Street Fighter 2," "Street Fighter 3," "Ultra Street Fighter IV," "Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix" and the crossover title "Street Fighter X Tekken."

Aside from video games, the Knockout Sale also covers fighting-themed movies. They are available in their discounted HD and SD versions. These include "Fight Club," "Dragonball: Evolution," "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon," "Enter the Dragon," "Mortal Kombat," "The Raid 2" and "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-li."

According to Sony, the Knockout Sale is its way of celebrating this year's EVO Championship Series, an annual event that brings together gamers from around the world to compete against each other in a tournament featuring various video game titles.

For this year's event, the lineup of games include "Ultra Street Fighter 4," "Super Smash Bros" for Nintendo's Wii U," "Killer Instinct," "Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3," "Guilty Gear Zd -SIGN-," "Mortal Kombat X," "Super Smash Bros Melee," "Personal 4 Arena Ultimax" and "Tekken 7,"

The 2015 EVO Championship series is scheduled to take place from July 17 to 19 and will be held at the Bally's / Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
