While Kanye West is busy making waves in the United Kingdom, headlining the Glastonbury Festival this weekend, one man remains unimpressed by Kim Kardashian's husband. In a recent interview, David Crosby, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recipient, bluntly called the rapper a "poser," not bothering to mince his words despite Kanye's widely known way of responding to criticism.

"Kanye West can't write, sing or play, so I have trouble with him as anything but a poser," said Crosby during an interview with Huffington Post. The 73-year-old, who dropped by the media outlet to discuss and promote his upcoming solo tour, first made his opinion about the rapper known via social media in March.

One of his followers, with username JADoss23, asked the Grammy Award winner folk singer on his opinion about Kanye West, his music and his "impact as an artist," according to Daily Mail. The question prompted Crosby to straightforwardly respond, saying that the rapper is an "idiot" and a "poser." He added, "[Kanye] has no talent at all."

When asked about the social media exchange during the Huffington Post interview, Crosby went on to acknowledge that he indeed holds that opinion and even added to the comments he posted online. "Yes, I said that!" Crosby admitted. He went on to say, "It all stands on what you produce, what you actually put down."

Alyona Minkovski, the host of the interview, then pointed out that Kanye West is actually a notable producer in his generation. To this remark, Crosby appeared to be disbelieving of the title. "Produce," he continued to say, "That means he sits in a chair while the engineer does the work. He's a poser. I'm not backing off it."

However, Crosby's remarks in social media did not go unnoticed by fans and followers of Kanye West and possibly even Kim Kardashian as the founding member of "Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young" admitted that he received incredible criticism and backlash following his Twitter posts, according to Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Crosby shared, "People raging at me on Twitter, and I don't care." He added, "I think the guy's an idiot! What can I tell you?" In addition, the singer disclosed that he himself actually corresponds with his fans on social media and not a handler or a PR expert - a practice common to most celebrities of today.

"Oh, I'm on there," he said. "What happened was, I started answering questions people had for me on Twitter, and I have conversations with them. It's actually me and I talk to them and I enjoy it. I like communicating with people," Crosby explained, referring to the time he discussed Kanye West's music.

While the folk singer refuses to answer questions he considers as "dumb," he admits to enjoying responding to the "interesting ones." He then said, "If you think I raised a ruckus saying Kanye West was dumber than a stick, the other night, I called [Donald] Trump "a walking intelligence free zone."

Apart from being a rapper and a music producer, Kanye West is also a fashion designer and an actor - career choices that undoubtedly boosted his net worth and fame throughout the years. The rapper has yet to respond to Crosby's comments. At the moment, he appears to be swamped with responsibilities not only in his professional life but also on the personal side as he and wife Kim Kardashian are having their second child soon.
