Various sources have provided new information regarding details for the 'Forza Motorsport' racing series.

These include the complete car list for the Porsche Expansion Pack for "Forza Horizon 2" and the possible release dates for "Forza Motorsport 6."

Before going into details regarding the upcoming installment of the "Forza Motorsport," sources noted that a new expansion pack for "Forza Horizon 2" is now available. For $10, gamers can get their hands on new Porshe vehicles through the aptly named Porshe Expansion, IGN reported.

This content update includes the 1970 Porsche 914/6, 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3, 1987 Porsche 959, 1989Porsche 944 Turbo, 2003 Porsche Carrera GT, 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 4.0, 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S, 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS and the 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo.

Aside from the cars, the expansion pack also comes with 15 new achievements, 10 Bucket Lists events and 10 Rivals challenges.

Although Electronic Arts holds the rights to feature Porsche cars in its games, the German luxury car maker has also entered an agreement with Microsoft's Xbox. This is the primary reason why development studio Turn 10 was able to use licensed Porsche vehicles in the Xbox-exclusive "Forza Motorsport" game series.

Although Porsche was not featured in "Forza Motorsport 5," its vehicles are expected to make a return in the upcoming "Forza Motorsport 6."

As to when fans of the racing simulation series can expect to see its latest installment, it was previously reported that "Forza Motorsport 6" might come out by the end of 2015, which is sometime in December.

But according to a post on the French site for Amazon, the game is scheduled to be released on September 18, Gamerant has learned.

With an earlier release date, "Forza Motorsport 6" will be able to avoid the holiday rush and steer away from the anticipated launch periods of other high profile games such as "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and "Halo 5: Guardians."

However, shortly after the post was made, Amazon.fr revised it and changed the release date of "Forza Motorsport 6" to December 31 instead.

Given the conflicting details, Microsoft and Turn 10 are yet to issue announcements regarding the official release of the racing game.
