Social games publisher Zynga finally launched its latest mobile game Empires & Allies for iOS and Android.

The game promises traditional real-time strategy (RTS) gaming that fans of the Command & Conquer franchise will sure like. It was, after all, created under the leadership of Mark Skaggs.

While the game may look similar to other war-themed strategy games for the mobile platform, Empires & Allies, according to The Verge, it has a much better 3D art style. Players would admire the gritty graphics that resembles old Command & Conquer games.

With regard's to it's gameplay, it's pretty similar. Players are tasked to build a base, recruit troops, manufacture tanks and warplanes, set traps and deploy them at your will to conquer other empires. Timed intervals still affect the regeneration of resources and building of structures.

In-app purchases are gold currencies which you can use to speed up the building process. It's basically how the game company earns and keeps you coming back to check on your base.

Battle scenarios vary, from player-versus-player to player-versus-environment. And once you have amassed a huge base and troops, watching them small soldier autonomously attack enemies is just plain fun.

Also, the game would not be complete without recruiting friends as allies. The Strike Force feature allows your allies to defend your base from attackers. Victorious campaigns with allies means shared rewards.

For those who don't feel like conquering the world with friends, Empires & Allies have a single-player mode with over 250 missions to play.

Skaggs said the launch of Empires & Allies is Zynga's way of reinventing itself by offering RTS games in a suitable platform for a new audience. While it's not suitable to be played in Facebook, the current mobile platform was the company's latest focus for its games

The game was announced in December of 2015 which marked the company's entry into the mobile action strategy category  When Zynga launched a geo-lock beta of Empires & Allies in nine countries a few months ago, it received positive responses from gamers.

Empires and Allies can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and Android Play Store

In addition, company is also coming up with new titles such as "Dawn of Titans" and "FarmVille: Harvest Swap." The former is a fantasy RTS game where player not only create kingdoms and armies but also raise Titans in conquering territories.
