The Go Pro portable camera is undeniably one of the coolest devices in recent years. It does not only allow people to take stunning photos and high-resolution images - it is also very lightweight and portable.

For fans who have the Go Pro 4 Hero and are waiting for the next edition, a new report points out to a release later this year.

According to a report by The Fuse Joplin, the Go Pro 5 Hero will not hit stores or get announced any time soon, but during the latter part of the year, probably during the last quarter.

In the report, some of the rumored specs include a camera resolution between 4K and 8K, which is still pretty impressive considering the size and portability features of the device.

In addition to the improvement in resolution, the device will also feature a more powerful and efficient battery. In the report, the new battery's life will be more than 150 percent more than what the current model has.

Contrary to some reports, the Go Pro 5 Hero will not come with multiple models or editions, but just a single version that can be used in a variety of situations. Currently, the manufacturer has two versions of the Go Pro 4 Hero - a silver edition that can record 15fps, and a black model that can do 30fps recording.

To make the device even more interesting, the report claims that the new version will be able to record videos with 60fps resolution, a vast improvement over the previous version. It is also possible that the device will come with a touchscreen portion to help in taking shots and capturing clips.

The report also mentioned that current pricing of the Go Pro 4 Hero and speculated a new pricing when the Go Pro 5 Hero comes out. The silver model is currently priced at $399, while the black version comes $100 more expensive. 

Given these price tags, the Go Pro 5 Hero may be priced at around $450-550. 

Of course, all of these details are mere speculations at the moment, so take them with a pinch of salt.
