Hollywood stars shone in the recently concluded 87th Academy Awards, but it is undeniable that some of them just owned the night. Lady Gaga, who is known for her out of this world antics, gave a performance that might just go down in history.

Here are some of the best dressed for the night:

Anna Kendrick

The "Pitch Perfect" star donned a coral Thakoon gown with a jewel-encrusted collar. Kendrick received an Oscar nomination for the musical "Into the Woods."

Jennifer Lopez

JLo was a stunner in her elegant nude-colored Ellie Saab gown. The singer-actress also snapped a selfie with "Oscar Legend" Meryl Streep. Lopez posted the selfie on Instagram, with the caption, "MERYL STREEP #oscars #oscarlegend #needsomeofthatoscarjuju lol."

Dakota Johnson

Johnson rocked a red hot Yves Saint Laurent gown at the Oscars red carpet. And yes, we had a hard time looking away.

Keira Knightley

A fairy tale ending was all that was missing in Knightley's Valentino gown. The fact that everything else was toned down made the dress all dreamy and princess-like. We just loved it.

All these just make the year-long wait for the Oscars worth the while.
