HTC is probably one of the busiest manufacturers right now as it prepares for the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Last year, the Taiwan-based manufacturer did not make it to the MWC, and instead settled for its own simultaneous events in New York and London. Even then, the Android phone maker already had its hands full with the One M8.

However, this year, recent reports claim that the Android pioneer is preparing not one, but two flagships en route the March event.

And according to the report by GSM Arena, the two One M9 flagships have recently undergone the benchmarking treatment.

Dubbed as the HTC One M9 and the One M9 Plus , the two handsets appeared on Compubench where the testers were able to take a look at how powerful these two devices are.

The results of the benchmarking app has somewhat confirmed what have already been rumored and leaked about the HTC phones. For the past several weeks, there were rumors of a QHD (2560 x 1440) screen, while there are also leaks pointing to a FHD (1920 x 1080) display. One thing that made these details vague is that people were expecting HTC to launch a single flagship this year.

However, the inclusion of the One M9 Plus in the picture has reconciled the two seemingly contradicting leaks.

The One M9 Plus will indeed pack the QHD or 2K display, but that does not mean it will get all the goodies. In the report, in spite getting 'only' a Full HD screen, the base HTC One M9 will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset, the latest octa-core SoC from the world's leading chipmaker.

On the other hand, the M9 Plus will reportedly have a MediaTek MT6795 chipset.

Apart from HTC's odd choices when it comes to the specs of these two devices, both the One M9 and the One M9 Plus will boast 19MP (may officially be listed as 20MP) primary cameras at the back. This would be the highest resolution HTC has ever included in a smartphone.

In addition to that, the benchmark data also show 12MP (13MP) front cameras for the two devices. This 20MP/13MP camera combination alone is among the best specs in the camera department of a smartphone, and photo enthuasists would definitely agree.

HTC's One M9 and One M9 Plus will aim to rival the upcoming Galaxy S6 and S Edge smartphones of Samsung, both of which are also expected to make their debut at the MWC.
