Just when you thought 2014 cannot get any better for Jennifer Lawrence, Forbes hails "Katniss" as the world's highest paid actress this year.

Lawrence's top grossing films which includes X-Men: Days of Future Past and Hunger Games' Mockingjay has accumulated $1.4 billion. The figure is expected to go higher as Mockingjay is still showing in cinemas around the world.

Lawrence, 24, has been Hollywood's sweetheart since she starred in the Hunger Games franchise. Apart from landing at Forbes' Highest Paid Actors list, Lawrence already had a lot under her belt. This year alone, Lawrence added a few more trophies from BAFTA (Best Supporting Actress, American Hustle), Golden Globes (Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, American Hustle), and American Comedy Awards (Best Comedy Supporting Actress - Film, American Hustle) to her collection.

The actress has also won the hearts of many for her humble demeanor. When Lawrence told reporters in an interview at a prestigious Hollywood event that she was starving and asked, "is there food here?" she has proven that like us, she is human, too.

She also sneaked up on Taylor Swift while the latter was being interviewed-- something not everyone in Hollywood would do.

The last installment of The Hunger Games is expected to be released in 2015. While other franchise leads may worry about how they can prove themselves in Hollywood after a franchise has ended, Lawrence doesn't need to. She already has a solid foundation that has proven her acting skills. She has Silver Linings Playbook and the X-Men franchise to thank for.

Here are other Hollywood A-listers who made it to the Forbes Highest Paid Actors list:

Robert Downey Jr., US$75 million

Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man and Iron Man is RDJ. There is no argument that the role fits him perfectly and we cannot imagine someone else playing that role.

Dwayne Johnson, US$52 million

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has had a good 2014. The actor has also been active in social media and has been receiving praises for being a good example of someone who made it big. Johnson admits they did not have much during his youth, and has strived hard to succeed.

Leonardo DiCaprio, US$39 million

An Oscar award may have been elusive yet again for DiCaprio this year, but this does not mean he isn't raking in some serious cash. The Wolf of Wall Street and The Great Gatsby were two of this year's blockbuster hits.
