America Evangelical University held a worship event on Sunday thanking God for their recent associate membership in the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), and also to ask the church to support their school prayerfully and financially. The event, which had an atmosphere like that of a huge celebration, was organized by members of the Korea Evangelical Church of America (KECA) denomination, which is also the denomination to which the university belongs.READ MORE

Korean American Churches in Southern California Award $56k in Scholarships to the Leaders of the Next Generation

89 students were able to receive scholarships again this year through the support of the Korean American churches in southern California. Since last year, the Council of Korean Churches in Southern California and the Council of Korean Churches in Orange County have fundraised and presented scholarships together. This year, the two councils raised $5,600, and gave the entire portion to the students to receive the scholarships. The two councils and the Nachimban Church divided the costs for the scholarship award ceremony, estimated to be about $2,200, and the food, about $2,000.READ MORE

The Korean church community in southern California gathered with Assyrian American Christians to stand together against the “Christian Holocaust” that is occurring in Iraq.
