Staff and volunteers of a Korean non-profit in Southern California rolled up their sleeves to raise financial support for their programs for those with Alzheimer’s Disease.

The non-profit, called Somang Society, hosted a yard sale on October 15 at La Palma Korean United Methodist Church from 7 AM, and raised a total of $2,521.65 from the day’s sales.

The funds will go toward further developing and expanding Somang Society’s ministry for those with Alzheimer’s. Various members of the community donated their used items to the non-profit, and one couple donated 100 pieces of clothing for the yard sale.

The group had also hosted an art gallery for a month to fundraise for the same cause, through which Somang Society was able to raise $7,000.
