Korean American Family Services (KFAM) will be hosting a free seminar on family and marriage life for Korean families on October 22 from 9 AM to 12 PM at Oriental Mission Church.

The event will feature one main workshop on the topic, ‘Mom and Dad must be happy for the child to be happy' led by Dr. Susan Chung, an expert on counseling children and teenagers, and breakout sessions will follow. Breakout sessions include an art workshop for married couples, a session for parents of adolescents, a session on physical well-being, an English session on stress management, and a session on raising young children, particularly those who seem to have specific difficulties such as lack of concentration, extreme shyness, frequent tantrums, and others.

Art activities that encourage children to express themselves will also be provided.

“I hope families will participate all together and become even healthier and happier families as they reflect on their own and each other’s thoughts,” said KFAM’s executive director Connie Chung Joe.

Though the event is free, RSVP is required for the breakout sessions and art activities for children.
