About a month ago, Christian actor Sadie Robertson split with her long-time boyfriend Blake Coward, and revealed her thoughts on the split in an inspirational YouTube video.
The 18-year-old former "Duck Dynasty" star said that even though the news of breakup came as a shock to her fans, but it was for the best.
"This video is not going to be fun, it's not going to be easy but that is how a break up is...but when you know you need to do something you know you need to do it."
She did not specify the reason for the split, but said that this was for in best interest of both of them.
"I know it was hard for a lot of y'all, and it was hard on us. It was sad for us and it's not how we would wish things would end, but it's what happened. We feel like this is the best thing," Sadie shared.
She quoted Psalm 143:10, to tell her fans that she relies on God, and that she trusts him to lead her in life.
She said: "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground."
Roberson said that she wished the best for Blake, and that she did not want to give negative feelings any place in her life. She added that those who are broken hearted should simply accept things as they are and learn from mistakes.
"This is what I hope for Blake. I hope that Blake finds somebody so much better than me in every single way. Because if I wasn't right for him, I know somebody is perfect for him. Because I do love him. I did love him a lot," she says.
"It's sad, it really is. But God has someone good for you. Keep that in mind."
She ended the message, encouraging everyone who is going through a similar experience in their lives to look to God, and to find purpose in him.
