Shooting for the multi-award-winning series, Sherlock Homes Season 4 has already started and will be released next year in January on BBC One.
Produced by Hartswood Films, the drama series has 3 episodes each per season, and is written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. The drama is inspired by the classic Sherlock Holmes detective stories authored by the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The new season will have abundant ingredients of an entertaining thriller including, "laughter, tears, shocks, surprises and extraordinary cases...," according to a BBC review.
The new episodes will have Benedict Cumberbatch back as Sherlock Holmes, Martin Freeman as Dr. John Watson, Amanda Abbington as his wife Mary, and Una Stubbs as Mrs. Hudson.
The season will have Dr. Watson and his wife heading for a big time in their life with an imminent arrival of a baby, while the story goes back to Baker Street.

The first episode will be directed by Rachel Talalay, who has an experience of over 25 years in the film industry, and has also directed Doctor Who, The Wind In The Willows, and The Flash.
The special episode "Sherlock: The Abominable Bride," was broadcast on New Year's Day this year, and was the most watched program of the festive season with 8.4 million overnight viewers. It made big gains all over the world, wherever the episode was aired, including in Korea and China.
