"God who rules over all creation! Lord of Judgment who will soon return! I give you praise, for you will carefully evaluate all things and judge fairly on the day of the Lord’s return, which is fast approaching.
I hear your warning that I should follow after you in my life from the bottom of my heart, because those who betray you, worship idols, commit atrocity, and speak lies will be annihilated (Zeph 1:1-13). First, may the callousness within me and the church melt away in haste. May I live with a clear understanding that God’s judgment is unavoidable, and thoroughly confess my sins, alert with fear.
Today, I desire to live as a church that brings you joy. Help me to prepare for the day of your return as I give the sacrifice of a holy life, living in your truth. I trust that those who live in the truth daily will inherit grace and honor. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen."
