"God of perfect wisdom, Lord of the last judgement! We thank you that you cause us to live in fear of you, as your holy children.
We hold on to the words of promise that many are the plans in a man’s heart but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails and that the fear of the Lord leads to life and peace (Prov 19:18-29). First, we confess that we have been so engrossed in our desires that we have followed the wrong path.
We desire that we would not once again fall into sinful habits, surrounding temptations, and false teachings. Help us to walk along the rightful path that is in accordance with your will, with fear of God and through words of wisdom. Today, help us to fear the Lord and be thankful for that grace. And in response to that love may we also realize and live in obedience of that will. We pray in the name of Jesus, in whom is an abundance of life and peace. Amen."
