Development studio Ubisoft has just released a new series of trailers for the upcoming "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" shooter.

The clips star "Thor" actor Idris Elba and focus on the various gameplay features of the game, Gamespot reported.

The first video, titled "Pinpoint Destruction," features a combination of live-action footages of Elba and actual in-game clips. He narrates how the game will feature various surprises that can come from virtually anywhere.

Specifically, the actor explains how players will be able to utilize the art of destruction to their advantage through careful planning and strategy. This is show in the trailer through in-game footages of operators assaulting through windows, busting walls open and using explosives to take out their enemies.

In the second trailer titled "Siege the Day," Elba focuses on the importance of tactical movement during assaults. The clip, which features pure live-action footages, is set inside a house taken over by hostile forces. Special forces then break into the house through various means and engage in an all out firefight to save the hostage.

As the inside of the house turns into a warzone, Elba walks across various rooms to describe how a combination of strategic movements and bold decisions can change the results of the siege.

The new "Rainbow Six Siege" trailers featuring Elba can be compared to what Activision and Treyarch did with their recently released "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" game. To promote the military sci-fi shooter, the developers also turned to a famous celebrity to narrate the various aspects of the game.

The main difference, however, is that the "Call of Duty" ad campaign featuring "Fantastic Four" star Michael B. Jordan focuses on how the game can bring out the inner soldier of gamers. The "Rainbow Six Siege" trailers, on the other hand, are mainly about what gamers can expect to see and do in the upcoming shooter.

Ubisoft's "Rainbow Six Siege" is set to come out on December 1 for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. But, a week before the game's official launch, Ubisoft will hold an open beta event from November 25 to November 29.

Those who joined the studio's closed beta for the game last September will be able to access the upcoming test event a day early.

According to VG247, the open beta will give gamers the chance to play as 14 of the game's 20 characters or operators and try out various modes of the game.
