Capcom has announced that it will release a new version of "Resident Evil 4" for Nintendo's Wii U console.

The game is scheduled to arrive on October 29.

According to an announcement by Nintendo on its Twitter page, the Wii U version of the game will arrive in Europe this week for €19.99. Those who will purchase it between its release date and November 11 will receive a 25 percent discount.

However, it is not yet clear if the game will be able to make its way to the North American market. As noted by Destructoid, this is the second game re-released by Nintendo this month in Europe for the Wii U system. The first was the classic "Wild Gunman" arcade game that was re-released by the company during the "Back to the Future" Day.

As for its gameplay, there are no details yet regarding the possible changes Capcom might have incorporated in the game for the Wii U version.

Hopefully, though, the new version will contain additional elements as opposed to just being a direct port of "Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition" that came out in 2007. In this game, gamers used the system's remote for various actions such as aiming and shooting. The game also relied on motion-based gestures for dodging and knife-slashing movements.

According to Gamerant, Capcom could capitalize on the various features of the Wii U for the newest version of the game. For instance, the studio could take advantage of the console's GamePad for various control functions such as aiming and managing the game's inventory system.

Aside from control-based additions, it would also be nice if Capcom improved the game's visual quality and included additional content to the game such as new missions instead of just focusing on main character Leon Kennedy going through the campaign.

As pointed out by the game news site, new additions such as these can surely persuade gamers into buying "Resident Evil 4" again.

"Resident Evil 4" originally came out in 2005 for the GameCube. It then made its way to various platforms including the PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Wii.

It has been regarded by gamers as one of the most outstanding games in the "Resident Evil" series, Cinema Blend reported. Unlike the other games, it features bigger maps, more areas to explore and even smarter enemies that can react to players' actions such as dodging away when being shot at.
