Fourteen contestants sang for the judges of ‘The Voice’ Season 9 on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The judges hit the I Want You button on only nine out of the fourteen singers on Week 2 of the Blind Auditions. Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani competed for the hearts of Krista Hughes, Victor Kiraly, and Andi & Alex.

Hughes, a 22-year-old from Coal City, Virginia sang “Angel from Montgomery,” which prompted all four judges to the button. Hughes chose Team Blake. Kiraly, a 31-year-old from Budapest, Hungary sang “What’s Going On.” Kiraly chose to be on Team Adam. Andi & Alex, 23-year-old twins from Green Bay, Wisconsin sang “Thank You” and chose Team Adam.

Team Gwen enlisted Korin Bukowski from Florida and Alex Kandel from Tennessee. Team Pharrell got Darius Scott from Texas and Celeste Betton from California. Team Adam enlisted Victor Kiraly, Chance Pena from Texas and Andi & Alex. Team Blake got Krista Hughes and Cole Criske from California.

Janae Strother, Julie Broadus, Tom Rhodes, Junior Reed, and T’alia Scot were sent home, after none of the four judges turned their chair for them.

The Voice’ is an American reality television singing competition show. Maroon 5’s lead vocalist Adam Levine, country singer Blake Shelton, pop singer Gwen Stefani, and music producer Pharrell Williams make up a panel of four judges. The celebrity judges coach their respective team members and prep them for weekly performances. The show is hosted by Carson Daly.

Part 4 of the Blind Auditions was watched by 3.7 million viewers. Ep. 5 airs on Monday, Oct. 5.
