‘Gotham’ co-stars Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie are now expecting a baby together, and have also revealed that they are starting to prepare for their own wedding, as reported by People Magazine.

The on-screen and off-screen couple was only recently reported to have been dating after getting spotted together at a post-Emmys celebration.

"Today, I am in a new committed relationship. I am planning to re-marry. Also, I am 3 1/2 months pregnant," Baccarin stated in court documents obtained by People.

This will be the 36-year-old actress’ second child and McKenzie’s first one.

Previously married to director Austin Chick, Baccarin has a two-year-old son named Julius. According to E!, the couple had been married for three and a half years, and are presently going through the legal phases of separation.

A judge recently ruled that Julius would spend most of his time with his mother in New York City, despite his parents sharing joint custody.

According to Chick, Baccarin started an affair with her ‘Gotham’ co-star before they had even been officially divorced.

"This places the moment of conception right in the first week of June 2015, the time she was telling me she wanted to work on our marriage and well before we stopped sharing a bed," Chick pointed out.

In August, Chick described an incident involving McKenzie that bothered him. The director filed for divorce months earlier and had returned home only to pick up his things. However, he had already found that Ben "had just taken a shower and he was playing with my son."

Baccarin and McKenzie have not officially issued a public statement about the pregnancy or even their relationship. However, on Thursday, McKenzie retweeted his sister, Camille Schenkkan’s post, thereby confirming the baby-related news.

"Couldn't be happier for @ben_mckenzie and @missmorenab. Welcome to the family, Morena! Also ... I'M GONNA BE AN AUNT," she wrote.

The couple stars in FOX’s ‘Gotham’ as characters who crossed each other’s paths and eventually fell in love during the series’ first season. The hit show is recognized as a prequel to Batman and focuses on the encounters of Police Commissioner James Gordon, played by McKenzie himself.

This is not the first time the expectant couple has been involved in a TV program together. The 37-year-old actor revealed that he previously worked with Baccarin when she went on as a guest star on the hit teen drama ‘The O.C.’ in which McKenzie played one of the lead characters, alongside Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson and Mischa Barton, among others.
