A six month-old baby boy was found dead inside a parked SUV at Deltona Middle School in Deltona, Florida on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015. The infant was in the backseat of the car, when authorities arrived in response to a 911 dispatch call.

A teacher was taking care of the child and left him inside the car all day. Deltona police did not reveal whether or not the teacher is related to the infant.

The teacher went to the car after school ended at 3:53 p.m. After realizing that the baby was dead, the teacher called 911. Temperatures rose to 86 degrees on Friday.

"This tragedy has broken the hearts of all of us in the school district. We will stand by the family with love and compassion," said James Russell, the Superintendent of Volusia County School District.
