Beast is performing at the BesTV Channel-M Cube Festival, a charity concert to benefit the victims of the Tianjin Explosions on Sept. 30, 2015. Doojoon Yoon, Hyunseung Jang, Junhyung Yong, Yoseob Yang, Gikwang Lee, and Dongwoon Son will be accompanied by K-pop artists 4-Minute, BTOB, G.NA, and CLC.

The concert series will take place at Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Shanghai, China. The Korea Herald reports that a percentage of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to those affected by the Tianjin blasts. Cube Entertainment, Beast’s management company is partnering with Butterfly Media, a local group to aid victims.

“When we were preparing for the concert, we heard about the news. All the participants decided to console the victims and their families," said Butterfly Media in a statement.

The Tianjin blasts resulted in the deaths of 159 people, 797 injuries, and 14 missing people, according to a Sept. 2 official casualty report. The chemical explosions occurred at the Port of Tianjin on Wednesday, Aug. 12. Fires from the first blast led to a chain of eight more explosions. The exact cause of the blasts are still under investigation.

“Over 40 kinds of hazardous chemicals [were stored on site]. As far as we know, there were ammonium nitrate and potassium nitrate,” said a fire department deputy to CCTV on Aug. 17. “According to what we know so far, all together there should have been around 3,000 tons.”

Amongst chemicals found at the site of the initial blast were potassium nitrate, ammonium nitrate, sodium cyanide, and calcium carbide. Seven or more logistics companies and more than 8,000 cars were destroyed by the explosions.

Doojoon (26), Hyunseung (26), Junhyung (25), Yoseob (25), Gikwang (25), and Dongwoon (24) are using their celebrity status, fame, and popularity to help Chinese families through Cube Entertainment’s event.

Beast, also known as B2ST is a six-member South Korean boy band that has ranked first on ‘Show! Music Core’ since June 28, 2014. ‘Show! Music Core’ is an MBC music TV show that features live performances by the latest and most popular artists every Saturday at 3:50 p.m. KST.

The group’s most recent ‘SMC’ win was on Saturday, Sept. 5. Yoseob thanked Beast’s main fan club B2uty for their support. The show’s voting system is made up of percentages from music sales (60%), music video views (10%), pre-voting committee of 2,000 people (15%), and live voting by fans (15%). Beast’s single ‘Good Luck’ ranks first with 10,000 points.

Beast has two studio albums and nine mini albums. The group was featured in TV shows such as 'MTV B2ST,' 'MTV Beast Almighty,' 'Idol Maid,' and 'More Charming by the Day.' Their songs were included in the soundtracks for 'Attack the Gas Station 2,' 'Master of Study,' 'All My Love, 'My Princess,' 'Big,' and 'Iris II.'
