It seems Lenovo is trying to dominate the consumer electronics industry by releasing another device that looks almost exactly like the product of its competitor.

Channeling the design features of Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Lenovo has just released its own phablet dubbed as the Lenovo Phab Plus.

As noted by Tech Crunch, at a glance, users might mistake the Chinese tech firm's latest offering as Apple's flagship smartphone.

Like the latter, the Lenovo Phab Plus sports an all-metal design and features the same number of screws on its bottom panel. It also has a plastic lining on the body for the device's antennas.

In addition, Lenovo's phablet also comes in the same color variants. When the iPhone 6 came out, the device was offered in space grey, silver and gold versions. For the Lenovo Phab Plus, consumers can choose between gunmetal grey, titanium silver and champagne gold.

The main difference between the two, however, is that the Menovo Phab Plus' screen does not have curved edges.

Thankfully though, these are the only features reportedly copied by Lenovo from Apple's iPhone. For the phablet, Lenovo went big by equipping it with a massive 6.8-inch display. According to the company, this is its way of providing users with the option of using a tablet like a smartphone.

As for its other features, the device packs a 13-megapixel primary camera paired with a 5-megapixel front shooter. It is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset from Qualcomm and comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage.

It runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop as its stock operating system and features dual SIM support.

The device is expected to debut in the U.S. sometime this month with a retail price of $299.

The Lenovo Phab Plus is the company's second device launched this month that looks like a clone of another major tech firm's gadget.

Last week, the company unveiled the Ideapad MIIX 700 and it looks strikingly similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, according to The Verge. Aside from featuring the same 12-inch screen, Lenovo's tablet is also a hybrid device, which allows users to transform it into a laptop.

Like the Surface Pro 3, the Ideapad MIIX 700 can also be propped up with the help of a kickstand attached to the back portion of the tablet's body. It also comes with a keyboard panel that can be magnetically attached to the screen.
