Jeremy Lin disguised himself as an Adidas employee and pulled another series of pranks on unsuspecting victims at a gym in Taiwan. Lin posted the video of his latest prank entitled, “Undercover Trainers” to YouTube on Sept. 1. Lin’s good friend Van Ness Wu, a Taiwanese American actor and singer was his sidekick.

Lin, the newly signed point guard for the Charlotte Hornets visited a Taiwanese gym to help clients work out. Lin, who has a cult-following in Asia as well as America went undercover as an employee named Wayne Xiong. Wu called himself Vincent.

The 6’3” NBA player wore a fake beard, wig, and stuffed styrofoam under his uniform to create a beer belly. Wu hid his hair in a cap that made him appear to be completely bald. Lin and Wu teamed up to offer the worst personal trainer service to several clients at the gym.

“We are your new trainers,” said the duo in the video.

The prank began at the front desk. Wu and Lin picked up phone calls together and greeted gym visitors. Instead of politely handing a towel to clients, Lin threw towels in their faces.

When Lin spotted a guest wearing one of his basketball jerseys, he asked, “Whose jersey are you wearing?” After turning the guest around, he feigned disgust and said, “Ugh.”He spent the remainder of his time at front desk sitting atop the counter while giving high fives to guests.

Lin got a chance to train one of “Taiwan’s national treasures,” a female London Olympic medalist. He made a bet with the Olympian to see if she could really lift. She won the bet in exchange for Lin to do ten pushups. When Lin lost, he followed through, while doing the push ups on his knees.

Wu and Lin proceeded to help a client with weight training. They acted like they did not know what they were doing and explained that they were “nervous” and new at the job. Lin walked into the corner of the room to hide his laughter and eventually had to go into an employee room when he could no longer hold it in.

Towards the end of the prank, Wu and Lin dropped in on a dancing class, mid-session. They joined the instructor onstage and jumped up and down with no rhythm. Lin abruptly announced the end of the class.

Other notable pranks that Lin has pulled in the past are when he pretended to be a wax statue and when he dunked on his own mom. Lin surprised fans by pretending to be a statue at Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum in San Francisco, California.
