Fans of Electronic Arts' "FIFA" series will now be able to get to play their favorite game on their mobile devices.

The publisher recently announced that the football-themed title "EA Sports FIFA" will arrive for iOS and Android mobile devices on September 22, the same day as the U.S. release of the upcoming console game "FIFA 2016."

EA Sports boasted that despite being a mobile game, "EA Sports FIFA" will feature stunning visual quality that can rival console counterparts of the game. According to Android Authority, the upcoming game is not a port of an existing title. Instead, it was developed specifically for mobile devices, which means it is meant to be played on small-screen devices.

Based on promotional clips for the game, "EA Sports FIFA" will feature smooth animations. EA Sports explained on its website that the game was developed with sophisticated artificial intelligence technology which provides characters with realistic movements.

In addition, the game will offer an easy game play experience through its hybrid touch control system. This will provide gamers with virtual joysticks to smoothly maneuver their characters and perform simple actions such as passing, shooting and sprinting.

As for its contents, the upcoming mobile game will allow players to trade their characters or team members. Instead of discarding characters by selling them, like in other "FIFA" titles, players will be able to exchange them for different ones.

Of course, if they want to get a high level character, the team member that they will exchange must also have at least the same rating.

Aside from this, the game will also feature the Ultimate Team mode. In the "FIFA" franchise, this mode allows players to build and customize their own squads. They can then use these special teams to compete against other gamers in either exhibition matches or online tournaments.

EA said the mobile version of Ultimate Team will also give gamers the same options and game play experience. The publisher also noted that it will release regular updates for the game's Ultimate Team Mode.

"EA Sports FIFA" will debut on September 22 as a free game app and can be downloaded from Apple's App Store and Google Play once it comes out. This date will also mark the official release of "FIFA 16" for the North American market. It will be available for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.

For the first time in the franchise' history, the upcoming "FIFA" game will feature 12 women's national teams.
