Ten years have passed by since Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt first starred together in ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith,’ an action film. This time, Brangelina stars in a melodramatic romance film staged in a French countryside by the beach.

Jolie and Pitt portray two imperfect lovers in ‘By the Sea,’ an American drama film. It is their first onscreen collaboration since ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith.’ The film hits theaters on Nov. 13, 2015. The film was rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America.

The story revolves around Vanessa, a former dancer and her husband Roland, a prolific writer. The trailer begins as they carry their luggage into a luxurious beachside hotel. Set in the 1970s, the trailer is accompanied by the song “Perfect Day” by Harry Nilsson.

“I chose to set By the Sea in the 1970s, not only because it is a colorful and alluring era, but because it removes many of the distractions of contemporary life and allows the focus to remain squarely on the emotions that the characters experience in their journey,” said Jolie in an interview with EW.
