Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, recently addressed divorce rumors amid erroneous reports that the Hollywood couple were splitting after being married for 17 years.

"Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness (Because it's contagious)," the ‘Suicide Squad’ actor wrote on his official Facebook page, reaching over 70 million fans.

On Monday, RadarOnline released a report that Jaden and Willow’s parents were headed to divorce court. From then on, other outlets had caught on and begun reporting of the couple’s alleged split, thereby making the longtime pair a top trending topic on social networking sites.

"But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured - 'What the hell... I can be foolish, too!'" Smith added. "So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness... Jada and I are... NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

To put an end to his post, the actor promised fans that any news of a split would be directly shared by the couple.

"I promise you all - if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself! #Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's,” Smith wrote.

Meanwhile, Pinkett-Smith also took to social media and tweeted about her husband’s post moments later, writing: “My king has spoken.”

In a recent interview with American Way magazine, the ‘Magic Mike XXL’ star opened up about the numerous speculations about her marriage, and said she and her husband are committed to keeping each other company in midst of all ups and downs.

"Every year there’s a new one," Pinkett-Smith said of the multiple rumors. "And I’m like, ‘Here we go. Get ready. Are ya holdin’ on tight?'"

Although there is much gossip that she and her husband should deal with, the 43-year-old actress told the magazine that such rumors seem weak in comparison to what other families are coping with.

"If you really want to know, I’m thankful for the Hollywood scrutiny, that that’s my problem," she said.

She further explained, saying: "There are mothers out there losing their sons, their husbands, their daughters. I’m blessed.. I’ll take that any day over what the majority of my people are dealing with on a daily basis. I dare not complain. Hollywood scrutiny has nothing on what I’ve survived just to be here."

In a separate interview with Howard Stern earlier this year, the ‘Gotham’ actress said she is more than familiar with her husband and what he puts up with.

"Here's what I trust: The man that Will is... is a man of integrity. He's got all the freedom in the world," she dished on the SiriusXM radio show. "As long as Will can look himself the mirror and be okay? I'm good."
