Samsung has officially unveiled the two versions of its Galaxy Tab S2.

Based on the devices' specs, they are currently the thinnest tablets launched by the company.

Samsung introduced the 9.7 and 8.0-inch variants of its latest product during an event held in Seoul, South Korea, on July 20. At just 5.6mm thick, the two models are thinner the iPad Air, Apple's sleekest tablet that measures 6.1mm, Tech Crunch reported.

Aside from its thinness, Samsung also boasted that its latest tablet is lightweight. The 8-inch variant weighs around 256g while its larger counterpart is at 389g.
