Shortly after "Batman: Arkham Knight" was released for the PC, numerous gamers reported experiencing several problems and glitches with the game.

Based on the reports, the performance-related issues of the game are attributed to the AMD graphics cards of certain PCs, Game Spot has learned.

According to gamers, some of the problems they encountered while playing "Batman: Arkham Knight" include periodic screen freezes, audio bugs and frame-rate lags. Development firm Rocksteady Studios already addressed the matter and said that it is currently working on solving the issue.

"We're aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of 'Batman: Arkham Knight,' the studio wrote in the game's forum page.

"This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously," it added. "We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible."

According to reports, the issues affect users who are running the PC version of the game using the AMD graphics card. Although the NVIDIA GeForce is the recommended GPU for the game, Cinema Blend pointed out that gamers can still use the graphics card's AMD equivalent to play "Batman: Arkham Knight."

However, a day before "Batman: Arkham Knight" was released, Gary Lake-Schall, the vice president of Warner Bros.' game technology, wrote on the game's Steam page that the company has adjusted the minimum PC requirements for the game. The executive noted that Warner Bros. has discovered certain compatibility issues regarding the performance of the game and AMD GPUs.

After learning about the problems, AMD released various beta driver updates that include optimizations for the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight." However, it is not yet confirmed if these updates will be able to solve all of the game's issues.

Due to the major issues that plagued the game immediately after its release, the rating of "Batman: Arkham Knight" on Steam has dropped severely. More than 2,000 users have already posted negative reviews of the game while 70 percent of those who purchased it would not recommend it to others.

"Batman: Arkham Knight" came out on June 23 and aside from the PC, the game is also available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
