Taiwan-based gadget maker HTC is reportedly working on a new 7-inch tablet with dual SIM support.

This rumor emerged after the mysterious device appeared on Zuaba, the import and export database of India.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, various sources speculated that the device might be HTC's upcoming H7 tablet.

Based on Zuaba's post, HTC's tablet, which the site named as the H7, sports a 7-inch display with touch-screen features. It has 1GB of RAM and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The site noted that the device has 16GB of internal storage and has slots for two SIM cards.

The tablet was given a price of INR 9,565, or around $150. But since this figure does not include import fees and other taxes, the device could possibly hit the market with a retail price of around $200, as speculated by Android Authority.

The minor specs and relatively low price of HTC's device coincides with the previously obtained information regarding the H7 tablet.

According to a previous article by Android Authority, earlier this month, Jack Tong, the HTC North Asia, hinted that the company is targeting to enter the entry-level gadget market by releasing an affordable and low-spec device.

"There is less room for product differentiation and a fierce price war, so we must be very cautious about running that business," Tong told reporters during the One M9+ launch.

"We will see if we can get better returns on smartphones or other business," he added. "But we are looking closely at it."

Although Tong did not go into detail regarding HTC's future plans, tech insider @upleaks revealed through Twitter that the company is working on producing an entry-level tablet dubbed as the H7.

The leaker even said that the device might be unveiled during the second quarter of this year, or near the end of June.
