Days after Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. revealed the details of the Season Pass for the upcoming game, "Batman: Arkham Knight," the two companies were criticized by gamers because of the costly additional content.

While responding to the criticisms, Warner Bros. explained that the Season Pass will include Batgirl as a playable character, Game Spot reported.

Last week, the game's publisher announced that the Season Pass, which comes with DLCs, new challenges and skins, will cost around $40. The more expensive bundle, the Premium Edition, which also includes the Season Pass, is priced at $100.

Since Warner Bros. didn't want to reveal the exact contents of both bundles, a lot of gamers felt they were too expensive. Because of this, the company responded and provided more details regarding the Season Pass.

"We've heard from our community that you want more information on what we'll be delivering in the Season Pass," Warner Bros. posted on its Facebook page. "While we aren't ready to unveil every aspect of the content we'll be developing, we would like to share more details now to give you a better sense of the scope of the Season Pass."

According to the publisher, the Season Pass will include a story expansion mode titled "Batgirl: A Matter of Family." In this side-game, players will take on the role of Batgirl in her first appearance in the "Arkham" series. The expansion also adds never-before-seen locations to the game.

Other features of the Season Pass include new story missions for Batman's allies and different versions of the Batmobile. These models are based on the designs of the famous vehicle used in "Batman's" 75-year history.

The Season Pass also includes character skins for Catwoman, Nightwing, Robin and the caped crusader.

"Batman: Arkham Knight," the last installment in the "Batman: Arkham" franchise from Rocksteady Studios, is expected to debut in June 23, 2015 for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, OS X and Linux platforms.
