The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons has nothing but good things to say about DreamWorks Animations' new movie called Home, which is about a lost purple alien named Oh who lands on Earth and is somehow forced to form an alliance with a spunky young girl named Tip.

It is Parsons' sincerest hope that the animated film's audiences will learn a lot about love and acceptance from the movie, as shown by the characters.

Oh and Tip initially thought the worst of each other, but the more they spent time together, the more they realized that they were actually wrong about each other.

"There's something really beautiful that happens, where Oh and Tip come at each other with a bunch of preconceived notions and judgments about what the other person will be like, and those break down through the film, and I do feel by the end of it you see how wonderful things can be without those judgments and decisions made before a conversation has even taken place," Parsons told Digital Spy.

"I think it's a little life lesson that we need reminding of throughout our lives, not just kids, but even adults, we get stuck in ruts prejudging things, it's not helpful!" he added.

The actor added that it was a lot of fun working on the film Home with Rihanna, Steve Martin, and Jennifer Lopez.

He absolutely adores his character Oh, who is at the same time both different and similar to his character Dr. Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory.

"You have no idea, the heaven it was to come from playing someone sort of anti-social, to someone who kind of wants to embrace everyone and wants to be loved. It was like a whole new set of muscles you hadn't stretched in a while," he said.

Parsons elaborated: "Both of them have this stranger in a strange land quality. Both characters are trying to figure out the world around them, the difference being that one isn't sure he even cares to figure it out, the other one is so eager to do that."

By lending his voice, Parsons did not have to do any physical tasks but he actually found himself moving a lot for the film.

"It was a very creative process and a very playful process, but for something that requires supposedly no physical work for the finished product, I found myself a very active being behind the booth, I loved it," Parsons said.

Home will be released on March 27, 2015.
