Samsung is on a roll when it comes to releasing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update  to its Galaxy Note phablets. So far, users of the Galaxy Note 4, Note 3, Note 2 and Note Edge phablets in select countries have downloaded the OS upgrade.

For Galaxy Note 4 users, those in Poland, South Korea and Germany have already experienced the Lollipop upgrade whereas those in Canada and France still have to wait for their mobile carriers to bring the update to their devices in the near future.

A delay due to coding issues is being experienced in the United States, hence the need to wait for carriers to set an official release date for the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade.

Similarly, the Galaxy Note 3 will not have a Lollipop update soon among owners in the U.S., although mobile carrier Sprint confirmed that the update will soon be rolled out to its subscribers.

Galaxy Note 3 users in other territories have already received the update. These include United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary and Romania.

Meanwhile, Galaxy Note 2 users may be holding on to thin hope for their device to receive the Lollipop update as the phablet was released two years ago. Samsung also did not officially confirm that the update will be rolled out for such device.

Nonetheless, regional arms of Samsung in Denmark and Poland have sent word that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update has rolled out to the Galaxy Note 2 in their territories.

Finally, for the new Galaxy Note Edge, only Australia received the update, although it is expected that more countries will soon have the Lollipop upgrade as well. Interestingly, the upgrade included an added feature that was previously unavailable - the mute function.

The impressive Galaxy Note Edge comes with a curved display and was released alongside the Galaxy Note 4 last September 4.  Both tablets are very alike in terms of their Quad HD display and the use of the S-Pen stylus. They are also both powered by a quad-core, 2.7 GHz processor and come with 3GB of RAM. As such, it is expected that Galaxy Note Edge owners to receive a similar Lollipop update.

Other countries and territories have yet to make official announcements as to when the Android 5.0 Lollipop will be rolling out to the Galaxy Note Edge.
