Last year, Google announced what tech experts believe to be the biggest update to Android just yet. With Android 5.0 Lollipop, the app drawer and notifcation bar share a minimalist design, and also featured notable improvement.

Those are also the same reasons why Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users are already dying to get the update.

Unfortunately, a new report revealed that users may have to wait a little longer before getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop treatment.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Android Lollipop ROM for the Galaxy Note 4 may be delayed because developers are still working on compatibility features with one of the manufacturer's latest devices, the Samsung Gear VR.

Announced earlier this month at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Gear VR was inspired by the popular makers of the Oculus Rift. In a statement by SamMobile Editor-in-Chief Faryaab Sheikh, there may be a lot more to work on for developers considering that Samsung wanted the Gear VR to connect to the Galaxy Note 4.

Considering the Note 4's 5.7-inch QHD display as well as the technology built in the Gear VR, there certainly is a lot of tinkering to do in order to deliver a new Android 5.0 Lollipop version that will bring the finest features and compatibility for both devices.

In spite lower sales compared to previous years, Samsung continues to work hard in order to provide the best possible experience to its consumers. The smartphone manufacturer has finally heard the call of its consumers by releasing a metal-clad smartphone in the Galaxy Alpha.

Moreover, the Korean manufacturer has continually expanded its range of devices from electronic appliances, smartphone accessories, phones, slates, laptops and even devices that are unique in their own concepts.

Unfortunately for the manufacturer, more people are beginning to shift to much cheaper options such as those developed by Chinese brands. From out of nowhere, reports now claim that Huawei, Lenovo and Xiaomi are racing towards the top of the Android food chain.
